Matrox G450 and Samsung 2333HD

I'm having trouble getting my 2333HD monitor to work at 1920x1080 on my
Matrox G450 (with just one monitor).

I have played with the xorg.conf file, but the best I can do is get it
to 1600x1200 (I don't know how it can do 1200 rows when 1080 is the
max).  The Xorg.log output tells me:

(II) MGA(0): Not using mode "1920x1080" (no mode of this name)

but it appears to be using:

(**) MGA(0):  Default mode "1600x1200": 162.0 MHz, 75.0 kHz, 60.0 Hz (II) MGA(0): Modeline "1600x1200"x60.0  162.00  1600 1664 1856 2160 1200 1201 1204 1250 +hsync +vsync (75.0 kHz)

I've googled for help for hours, but nothing I've found has gotten me
that max resolution.
