Regression: radeon x600 text console font not restored

Egbert changed console font restoration a while ago to let the kernel do the 
restore if it can.  However, some kernels have broken font restore, 
particularly radeonfb (i think) somewhere in the 2.6.11+ timeframe (i also 
think).  Try an older, or newer, kernel.
