Regression: radeon x600 text console font not restored

Hi,

I had the radeon driver from Xorg CVS working ok on my mobile X600 about
4 months ago. I upgraded to current CVS last week and now I have this
problem. The font on the text console is not restored on console switch
or when I exit the X server. Does anyone have an idea which change may
have broken it or give me a quick pointer where to start looking?
Otherwise I'll try to narrow it down myself some time this week.

I want to start testing Ben's Radeon EXA patches. ;-) But this issue is
a no-go for me right now.
