Regression: radeon x600 text console font not restored

I'm not using any kernel-framebuffer driver. Just plain text mode. Linux
2.6.12 (kernel source from Debian, home-built). I'll experiment with
different kernel versions.

I think I found Egbert's commit on Jan 14. I could have sworn I had this
working with a Xorg CVS version after that date. I'll verify that. Maybe
this problem is unrelated to Egbert's change.
