The idea would be two-fold:

1) to transform the current check for 64-bit CPU to make it add -m32
to CFLAGS if the build host is a 64-bit.
2) to check for the validity of "-march=geode -mtune=geode" on the CC
version installed and, if valid, add them to CFLAGS (on any x86
flavor).
