Thanks so much for these! The updated patchset looks fine, although a
couple of the changes in the 'fix null dereferences' patch look a bit
concerning, and I'll have to take a closer look at them on Monday.
I'll merge them all and push them then.

Gaetan - I'll update the README and might even add a TODO (!).
