for information, I'm able to successfully upgrade libpciaccess and the 
error message goes away, and as suggested had nothing to do with the 
fatal server error.

BTW, when will the next "release" of libpciaccess drop so I can avoid 
unnecessary patches (currently libpciaccess-0.13.1)?
