I really don't know that much about this, however what caught my eye was this:

(II) RADEON(0): Supported established timings:
(II) RADEON(0): 720x400 at 70Hz
(II) RADEON(0): 640x480 at 60Hz
(II) RADEON(0): 640x480 at 75Hz
(II) RADEON(0): 800x600 at 56Hz
(II) RADEON(0): 800x600 at 60Hz
(II) RADEON(0): 800x600 at 75Hz
(II) RADEON(0): 832x624 at 75Hz
(II) RADEON(0): 1024x768 at 60Hz
(II) RADEON(0): 1024x768 at 75Hz
(II) RADEON(0): 1280x1024 at 75Hz
(II) RADEON(0): 1152x864 at 75Hz

The same thing actually appears twice for the same connection DVI-1.

Does KMS have the console at 1920x1080? You might try adding

video=VGA-0:d,HDMI-0:d,... etc

to the kernel command line in menu.lst do be sure that xorg isn't trying to use
a different connection for some reason, to see the connection names:

ls /sys/class/drm
