~/.xsession-errors not working anymore ?

Hi,
	Due to system failures , after recovery , i'm missing
~/.xsession-errors , now i recreated this file ( touch
~/.xsession-errors ) , but i won't see any more debug information
written to it , how to re-enable it ?

	I've got write permissions.
