Yes, filing a bug is fine.

Both 2.3.1 and git tip works fine on my G35 (Asus P5E-VM) with xserver
git tip.

There're only few patches between 2.3.0 and 2.3.1, so if someone could
narrow down to the culprit commit that'll be helpful.
