I understand where you come from. I think everyone would like to get
either textured video working with XAA (and compiz) or better EXA
(glyph rendering) fast enough to be an alternative for XAA.

I'm running a little bit outdated 2.1.1 intel driver that comes with
my distribution, however from what I read on the list these issues
still persist in latest git. Or is there an update?
