Well, that in itself is true enough.

FWIW, I like the provision of accurate physical screen dimensions
because I sometimes like to literally trace to and from my (wacom
cintiq*) secondary display!  It's a very fast way to e.g. make
adequate-precision scale models of some stuff**.  (also why
"angular/distance-from-screen" stuff people are talking about elsewhere
in thread is also kind of irrelevant for my needs).  Apps have to be
able to find out "this X by Y pixel area is P-by-Q-mm" one way or
another for tracing to work (assuming they're doing pixel drawing
without middlemen doing further rescaling of course)

That all works fine in separate-screens (to confirm: that what is meant
by "zaphod"?) mode, at least with appropriately aware apps (apart from
occasional tablet calibration issues and things like that
device-coordinate-scaling bug a while back).
