Intel G35 chipset: screen stays black

thanks for that useful pointer.

I have BIOS 0202 and run Debian lenny (32 bit mode) and the xorg server from 
Debian sid.

Are there any data I can collect or should I just verify that a bios upgrade 
(to 0502) solves my problem?
