That was exactly my problem: I couldn't get my Dell 2407WFP to get  
into 1920x1200, it would only go up to 1680x1050 when configured with  
xrandr. But yeah, I'm really sorry I can't be much help. As someone  
else mentioned, I'd definitely recommend you file a bug report.
