Xv works fine, 3D as well, VT switching too.

However, using xrandr on the LVDS ouput seems to be broken. My laptop 
has a 1280x768 native resolution. Running "xrandr --output LVDS --mode 
1024x768" gives me a black screen. Resetting with "--auto" (typing 
blindly as X is still up) restores the display.
