Hi,
I am running XOrg Server 1.3.0, which works well with "vesa" drivers. The same xorg.conf changed to use "nv" driver produces only some colored lines on a mostly black screen. Exiting with Ctrl+Alt+Backspace exits, but even the terminal is broken afterwards (colors are correct, but all letters/numbers are reduced to lines).
Any ideas what is wrong with my config? X.org wiki and google had no useable info so far. Any hints where I should look?
Config details below
Cheers
Kai
PS: Please write me if I am writing on the wrong list.
I am using xf86-video-nv 2.1.2 and a kernel compiled with the following options:
CONFIG_FB_NVIDIA=y
CONFIG_FB_NVIDIA_I2C=y
CONFIG_FB_NVIDIA_DEBUG=y
CONFIG_FB_NVIDIA_BACKLIGHT=y
CONFIG_FB_RIVA=y
CONFIG_FB_RIVA_I2C=y
CONFIG_FB_RIVA_DEBUG=y
CONFIG_FB_RIVA_BACKLIGHT=y
