intel driver: playing video with totem: bad quality, causes lockup at next switch to VT

  I've also have noticed this issue. I didn't pay him much importance since
I set my video player to avoid it. The problem is that default brightness,
contrast and saturation values output a very ugly video. I use to set
saturation to almost 0 and low a big deal of brightness and contrast. I
usually use codeine or other xine back-end apps. Having know about this post
I tried with mplayer, and this problem doesn't happen, so I'll talk to xine
people to see what could be happening.

  In any case, and even this report is very comprehensive, having a
backtrace of the crash is always worthwhile, please look into:
http://wiki.debian.org/XStrikeForce/XserverDebugging for tips on how to get
a backtrace for a core dump.
