Dual head support on 852GME and disabled LVDS channel

Dear All

I am trying to solve a problem with dual head support on 852GME graphics 
chipset using intel driver. I have two monitors connected: CRT to VGA 
and one flat panel to LVDS connectors. The operating system I am using 
is Kubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy).

I followed the instructions on 
http://www.intellinuxgraphics.org/dualhead.html page but when I boot 
into graphics mode LVDS display stops receving video signal. When I 
switch back into text mode then the signal comes back.

When X server is running xrandr utllity successfully reports that there 
are two monitors connected but one connected to LVDS is blank.

It looks like although the system detects my panel it disables it for 
some reason. I did try recompiling intel driver and MESA/DRM using 
latest source code but I still get the same result. Does anyone have any 
clues?
