When we make releases, we push them to xorg.freedesktop.org - I don't know
how often mirrors like ftp.x.org resync with that.

If you want to use ftp, freedesktop seems to offer ftp access to the master
site at: ftp://ftp.freedesktop.org/pub/xorg/individual/
