Had to try it, just 'cause.

Grabbed the latest from git and when start X I get an 800x600 screen.
native is 1600x1200 connected via vga connector. xrandr shows:

 SZ: Pixels Physical Refresh
*0 800 x 600 ( 694mm x 260mm ) 60
 1 640 x 480 ( 694mm x 260mm ) 60
 2 1024 x 768 ( 694mm x 260mm ) *60
 3 2048 x 768 ( 694mm x 260mm ) 60
Current rotation - normal
Current reflection - none
Rotations possible - normal
Reflections possible - none

Looking at my X log it shows a bunch of

(II) I810(0): Not using default mode "1280x1024" (hsync out of range)
(II) I810(0): Not using default mode "640x512" (hsync out of range)
(II) I810(0): Not using default mode "1280x1024" (vrefresh out of range)
(II) I810(0): Not using default mode "640x512" (vrefresh out of range)
(II) I810(0): Not using default mode "1280x1024" (vrefresh out of range)

(II) I810(0): Not using default mode "1600x1200" (hsync out of range)

To get the normal i810 driver working I had to add

HorizSync 30.0 - 81.0
VertRefresh 56.0 - 100.0

to my monitor section which I thought was odd as its a flatscreen but
those values no longer seem to work. Commenting them out didn't seem
to help either.

I've attached th usual logs.
