don't worry about it. Unless you have usebios set to false, the
driver will use the bios to prgramt he mode anyway. you only have to
add them so that X will allow the larger modes.

the DRI locking was broken in the driver. grab the driver for savage
git HEAD or grab teh patch from here:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6357
