But as the 7.1 release showed, about 2/3'rds of the software in Xorg
doesn't change that often, so your distribution probably already has
the latest released font packages or headers/libraries for extensions
that haven't changed in years, and the modular setup allows you to get
the functionality of the latest release by just building the packages
with that functionality change in.
