I tried building xorg with jhbuild, following the instructions on [1].
This fails due to the git transition:

| configure: error: proto-BigReqsProto is now maintained at:
|     git://git.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/proto/proto-BigReqsProto
| Please use that repository.
