xhost or where problem?

Some recent versions of OpenSSH work much better with the -Y flag than -X.
Otherwise, common authentication problems include the $HOME/.xauthority file
being removed/corrupted or the Unix domain sockets and/or named pipes in
/tmp/.X11-* being removed by overzealous /tmp cleaners.
