Hi,
This is correct.  master is the current development tree, where 1.2.99.x
(i.e. destined to become 1.3.0) releases come from.  This has a lot of
crazy features unsuitable for release.  server-1.2-branch is a stable
branch where 1.2.0 and point releases will come from, which just has
selected bug fixes cherry-picked from master.
