A while ago I went through the list of bugs with the 6.8 approval flag and 
checked which ones had been applied to the branch but not to head.  We had 
five: 591, 1306, 1424, 1831, and 2110.  1424 was a partial workaround applied 
to the branch, and 1831 is just a resync with the cygwin branch.  The others 
look to be real issues.
