Can't open a display with RHEL 4 and Dell Optiplex 620

I have a Dell Optiplex 620 with a 1704FPVt flatscreen monitor.  The 
system is running RedHat 2.6.9-22.ELsmp.  The xorg programs are version 
6.8.2-1.EL.

I am unable to get the graphics working.

The Xorg.O.log  ends with messages:

I had to use
"linux text nofb" to install the os on the system because I could not 
get the
screen working with the boot disk
