On Solaris (CDE and Gnome) you may use XTSOLgetClientAttributes():
DESCRIPTION
  XTSOLgetClientAttributes() is used to get all CMW attributes
associated with a client
  in a single call. The attributes include process id, user id, ip
address, audit flags and
  session id.
