It certainly needs a change. If you want to refer to what's commonly
known as 'the fd.o xserver', please use KDrive: that's the name of the
DDX that most people use under xserver.

Sure, that's a good idea; one of my main points in all this is that a
GL-based X server is not an anathema to Linux's desktop problems. More
work is needed on the desktop front (D-BUS, HAL, Project Utopia, et al)
before Linux can become a competitor on the next-generation desktop
front: it's not all about the windowing system.
Which isn't to say that this work shouldn't be done. But this point, and
the fact that old hardware is incredibly abundant, needs to be kept in
mind as well.
