In the longer term it might also be worth switching to a better
emulator. The Qemu core is much much faster and also more accurate in
its emulation functions - eg it can run the C&T 655xx BIOS while x86emu
fails to do this. The core is LGPL however so I'm not sure how well that
fits Xorg policy.
