First the Xserver announced the extension then they asked you to pay for it...
That's an interesting way to generate business.
I wounder it triggered an order over the web when someone accidently
said 'yes'.

I know that toolkit people would like to see image format support
inside the Xserver for the most popular image formats.
I don't know why they haven't been using XIE when it was still
available.
Maybe we should reinvestigate this issue and see what was wrong
about XIE.
