Events sent to the wrong client in Xorg 6.8.0?

I've been seeing some strange behavior in the Xorg 6.8.0 which I've
modified for Project Looking Glass. Very rarely, the X server will send
an event destined for one client to an entirely different client. For
example, I enabled debug statements in os/io.c and it said that it was
sending an event to client 6 but the event was received by client 1
instead! And, stranger still, the problem goes away when I compile the
dix directory with -g. I'm trying to figure out if this is a problem in
Xorg 6.8.0 or it is something that the lg3d modifications have introduced?

Does this symptom sound familiar to anyone? I'd appreciate any help
you can give me.
