[Xorg] Current blocker bug list

In order to get wider exposure to the current list of blocker bugs, I
have put together a list of them along with a comment on each (below).
I will keep this list updated and will post it and the bug stats each
night.

We would like to ask your help with the following:

1. Please help us track down solutions for the current blocker bugs
   listed below.
2. If there are other bugs that should be considered blockers, please
   add them to bugzilla so that we can track them.

* Bug #594: X crash with invalid file in gv
  - fb needs to range check arguments to CreatePixmap
  - What about other areas of the server?
  - I have been unable to reproduce this with current CVS

* Bug #770: Hangs with Chromium
  - Eric Anholt is looking into this one

* Bug #964: X.Org Xprt starts to consume 100% when being idle
  - Patch applied; leaving open to see if better solution is found

* Bug #991: Composite exposes extra visuals
  - Keith Packard has checked in his solution and documented the problem
    with Flash
  - A patch to Xlib to hide all depth 32 visuals in XOpenDisplay has
    also been proposed

* Bug #993: Build failure with #define BuildXevie NO
  - This problem has been fixed, but it raised another issues that has
    been discussed on the mailing list before: Should Xevie be included
    in Xext or should it be in a separate library by itself?
  - Answer from 11 Aug 04 release wranglers call is yes
  - Stuart Kreitman is working on making Xevie a separate library

* Bug #999: Release notes for next release
  - Need someone to start documenting changes for release notes

* Bug #1029: Hard failure if socket directories cannot be chowned to root
  - This solution breaks on systems that do not have setuid
  - xfs uses xtrans also and since it is not setuid root, it cannot
    chown to root and bails
  - Proposed solutions:
    1. Create a helper program that is setuid root to create dir, or
    2. Revert the change back to X11R6.7 version

* Bug #1032: Damage causes rootless XDarwin to crash
  - Main blocker problem has been solved but there is still another
    problem which will be investigated later

* Bug #1044: Server crash when resizing window while running xcompmgr
  - Crash reproduced
  - Investigation needed

* Bug #1057: GLX looks for DRI drivers in wrong dir on AMD64
  - Proposed fix is being tested and will be checked in after
    confirmation that it works

* Bug #1060: BuildXprintLib NO causes libXaw build to fail
  - Decided to revert to previous behavior
  - Patch supplied, but needs review

* Bug #1065: Test and enable Render accel on R100
  - Tests succeeded, but may not have been testing required code paths
  - More specific test info is needed to exercise the part of the code
    that was previously known to cause problems

* Bug #1070: Old keyboard driver needs to be enabled on certain platforms
  - Patch provided to enable deprecated keyboard driver on those
    platforms that have not implemented support for new kbd driver

* Bug #1072: Auto load old keyboard driver if kbd driver fails to load
  - Patch is needed to fallback to old deprecated keyboard driver when
    loading of new kbd driver fails
