Invitation to all contributors to join the X.Org Foundation

To the X Window System community:

Annual election to the Board of Directors of the X.Org Foundation will be 
held in June.

Membership in the X.Org Foundation is open and free. You are invited to join 
now, and to help shape the direction of the X.Org Foundation. Applications 
are invited from all contributors to the X, Desktop, and related 
communities.
 
Qualifications for membership have been established by the Board of 
Directors. Examples of acceptable contributions that will qualify you for 
membership in the Foundation include coding, bug-fixing, testing, design, 
documentation, translation, administration or maintenance of project-wide 
resources, giving X Window System talks at conferences, and community 
coordination work such as supporting bugzilla and release management. X.Org 
advocacy, or submission of bug reports, would be accepted as qualifying 
activities when they substantially exceed the level of contribution expected 
of an ordinary user or fan of the project.

Note that in order to vote in the annual election, you will need to submit 
your membership application by 10 June 2005.
