ChangeLog and NEWS are completely different things. Regular users don't
want to filter all the technical stuff like "Remove compiler warning",
but just stuff what is interesting to them, e.g "Made drawing of boxes 5
times faster", while the ChangeLog might say "Fix inefficient loop in
repeated line drawing" or something.
Great NEWS file examples are found in e.g xf86-video-intel and cairo.
Ours is not bad either right now afair, given our small amount of
changes per-release.
