parameters of the LCD are non-standard.
The AMD Geode system in Windows or Linux has no capability to probe the LC=
D
settings, they must be manually (statically) configured. The only way
to get these settings is break open my notebook case and have a look!
Surely there is an easier way!
I ask you kindly to please provide information about the LCD in the
SA8/E9 series notebook.

P.S. Can you give a justifiable reason for not telling me the
refresh rate for the LCD? How can that be top secret?
(That information can't be probed in Windows - though I haven't tried
vesa yet - vbeprobe in Linux doesn't work)
[edit: Geode's can probe EDID, but can they probe on the LVDS port? If
so it's more likely the LCD panel doesn't support this]
