Hello, I am trying to run the Geode driver on this hardware:

00:01.1 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] Geode LX
Video (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Subsystem: National Semiconductor Corporation Device 0030
Flags: 66MHz, medium devsel, IRQ 14
	Memory at fd000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16M]
	Memory at fe000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
	Memory at fe004000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
	Memory at fe008000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
	Memory at fe00c000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
	Kernel driver in use: lxfb

kernel Gentoo 2.6.26
xorg-x11 7.3
xorg-server 1.4.2
libX11 1.1.4
xf86-input-evdev 2.0.2
xf86-input-keyboard 1.3.1
xf86-input-mouse 1.3.0
xf86-video-cirrus 1.2.1
xf86-video-fbdev 0.4.0
xf86-video-geode 2.9.0
xf86-video-vesa 2.0.0
xf86-video-vga 4.1.0

Using xorgfcg to get a preliminary xorg.conf, the geode driver is
selected/detected, but when I try testing the configuration (X -config
xorg.conf.new), the screen goes white, then grey blotches start forming
at the edges and over the space of a few seconds the screen becomes
mottled grey-black...

If I edit xorg.conf.new and change the Device section Driver from
"geode" to
"fbdev", the configuration works, but I'd like to use the acceleration!

Any advice welcome, thank you for taking the time to read this.
