Issues with the amdgpu drivers

I found out that using Linux Mint 18.3 (which is based on Ubuntu 16.04) and
using the default open-source amdgpu drivers seems to fix the issues with
Blender, Inkscape, and Godot. I haven't tried seeing if it fixes the issue
with LinVst yet, though. I'm not sure why the latest version of Ubuntu,
Linux Mint, and Manjaro isn't working.
