possible kerning bug in LibreOffice on Ubuntu with xorg-driver-ati

Dear developers,

I have a kerning bug in LibreOffice on Ubuntu. I posted a bug report with
both the Document Foundation and Ubuntu Launchpad. I got some responses
there, but my problem was not solved.

During the process, we found out that the bug only occurs with the
xorg-driver-ati, not with the proprietary fglrx driver. Therefore, I was
advised to contact this mailing list, to see if you could offer help from
your side.

there's anyone with a suggestion, I would be glad to provide information. I
must say that my technical knowledge is rather limited, I am merely a user
