Bug ID: 91304
Summary: No menus display on default monitor
Product: xorg
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/Radeon

Another weird one. At first I thought my distro messed up LyX since menus did
not display. However, this is not the case. The menus do not display on the
laptop's built-in screen. If I drag it over to the external HDMI screen, then
the menus work fine!
Most of my apps are all Gnome/GTK based, but LyX is my one QT based app. If it
starts on the laptop display, then the first time any particular menu is opened
on the HDMI display, it will be at least the height of the monitor (with lots
of blank space on the menu). The next time the menu opens, it will be
displayed correctly. If I drag it back to the laptop display, the menus won't
open, and dragging it to the HDMI again means I get super-tall menus the first
time the menu opens.
I can only think this is a driver issue since its specific to a particular
display output.
