Same problem here with Debian Wheezy.

Last week I had to remove the fglrx-driver (doesn't support 

lspci | grep vga
01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI
RS780M/RS780MN [Mobility Radeon HD 3200 Graphics]

anymore) and installed the radeon driver.


>From this moment on CPU temperature (CPU idles at 5–10%) raised from ~60 to ~75
degrees – even with 

cat /sys/class/drm/card0/device/power_profile
low
