To Whom It May Concern:
Just recently I have been experiencing random freezes with X.Org X
Server 1.4.0.90
Release Date: 5 September 2007
X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0
Build Operating System: Linux_2.6.24.5-server-2mnb Mandriva
Current Operating System: Linux dasmith.localhost.com 2.6.24.7-2mnb #2 SMP
Wed Sep 22 16:43:32 EDT 2010 i686
Build Date: 16 September 2008 04:45:14PM
on Mandriva Linux 2008.1 with kernel version 2.6.24.7-2mnb.
I have discovered the following error messages towards the end in my
Xorg.0.log.old file after a freeze has occurred:
(II) evaluating device (Mouse1)
(II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Mouse1" (type: MOUSE)
(II) evaluating device (Keyboard1)
(II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "Keyboard1" (type: KEYBOARD)

...
As I mentioned earlier I am running Mandriva Linux 2008.1, kernel
2.6.24.7-2mnb with KDE Version 3.5.9 and X.Org X Server 1.4.0.90. My
computer system consists of an ASUS P4B533 motherboard with an Award
BIOS and an Intel Pentium 4 running at 2.4 GHz, 2 Gigs of DDR Memory,
ATI R420 JM [FireGL X3] Graphics Card, Adaptec SCSI Card 29160N, etc. I
have my screen resolution set to 1680 x 1050 x 24-bit color.
Attached is my normal Xorg.0.log file before the computer freezes and
the Xorg.0.log.old file after the computer had frozen.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thank you,
David A. Smith
