Alex, any idea when the patch was merged and what the new patch is?

Since the patch here was cherry-picked in Ubuntu and is giving problems, it
needs to be reverted and the updated patch applied instead.

I've tested with 2.6.36-020636 too which doesnt /seem/ to have the problem.
