That may be true for me, also.  I was having some issues with desktop effects
disabled, but I was thinking I'd had them enabled previously.  ..but, that
would have been a different login session..  ..anywho.  If it needs to be
checked, I can reboot without the workaround.

Scrolling up and down quickly and repeatedly in Firefox causes a lot of garble
for me, as well.

The only one I know is in the bug description, about halfway down.  It's short,
so you may have missed it.
