Did changing the AGP aperture size in the bios help?  The AGP aperture
needs to be aligned to a 4 MB boundary on r6xx/r7xx chips and I'm not
sure all bios do that reliably.

AGP is supported, but has always been problematic.  The sooner it goes
away the better.
