Summary: r500 shift from broken X display(pal) to VT isn't reset
for VT
Product: xorg
Version: git
Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Driver/Radeon
AssignedTo: xorg-driver-ati at lists.x.org
ReportedBy: bf4534 at mail.seriesdb.com
QAContact: xorg-team at lists.x.org
related to https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13995
When changing from X(by killing X) to vt with the clock frequency being wrong
in X, it stays wrong in X.
If the bug above is fixed this shouldn't be an issue but a proper
reset/reinitialization when changing to vt is always a good idea as it could
solve many problems, but i don't know if it is feasible.. Maybe as an option
for X..
I haven't tried a change from X to vt(ie ctrl+alt+F1) with broken display, so i
don't know how that behaves, i will try and add.
