Welcome - we're glad to have students showing interest in our GSoC projects,
and got official confirmation today that X.Org has been accepted as a mentoring
organization into the GSoC program this year.
I've cc'ed the xorg-devel mailing list, since you'll have a much easier time
connecting with the developers there than on the general end-user support
mailing list of xorg at ... Those projects probably also cross over into the
area covered by the dri-devel mailing list as well, since the DRI/DRM drivers
on the kernel side are covered there.
