I pulled the patches and build them. The first patch introduced an
unused macro, XORG_ENABLE_DEVEL_DOCS.
It was proposed in a patch series that was not accepted by the
maintainer.

It was meant as a replacement for the various existing options with
different names. It leads to duplication:

          --enable-builddocs      Build docs (default: disabled)
        
          --enable-devel-docs     Enable building the developer documentation
                                  (default: yes)
