Hi,

You may or may not be aware of my project to create a new display
manager, LightDM [1].  The project is in an alpha state where I can
run LightDM as my display manager, but it needs more work.

A major goal of the project is to be cross-desktop and to reduce the
divergence in display managers that has occurred post XDM.

I'm interested in both technical feedback and how I can more closely
align this project with freedesktop.org.
