Okay I'm just winging it here, but when you boot the laptop do you have your USB C cables hooked up to your external monitors? The /dev directory populates itself by what it sees that is connected at boot time, so moving cables around after having booted might be confusing the kernel. Admittedly this is just a corner case guess, but...? Just wondering.<br>
